Christine McNicol (Barbaro)

Christine is a dedicated Certified Addictions Counsellor with the CACCF, holding a BA in Sociology from the University of Waterloo and an SSW from George Brown College. With over 15 years immersed in addiction counselling and services, she brings extensive experience working with individuals, families, and various treatment centres. Since joining RCS in 2018, Christine has been integral to the organization, demonstrating steadfast commitment to her clients, colleagues and community partners. As Managing Director at RCS, she continues to promote empowered recovery through the family model of treatment, dismantling barriers and stigma to guide individuals and families toward the light of recovery.

Hamish White

Hamish has worked in the addiction and mental health fields for the past 45 years. He enjoys a reputation as being a skillful clinician yet “down-to-earth” with common-sense solutions to problems that occur when families and clients are struggling with addiction recovery issues. He is well known in the addiction treatment, health professional and recovery communities and is extremely familiar with the best recovery resources and treatment centres around
the world. 

Dr. Erin Mantis

Dr. Erin Mantis is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and has worked at RCS since 2006. She resides in the city of Toronto after graduating and completing her post doctorate in Chicago, Illinois where she spent 8 years within various therapeutic systems using an integrative approach largely encompassing CBT, Motivational Enhancement, Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, Brainspotting,  IMAGO, and Interpersonal Therapy. Dr. Mantis works with adults, adolescents, families, individuals, couples, and groups regarding life stressors, mental health, and addictions. Her collaborative, active process is tailored to meet the needs of individuals and dyads.

Dave Saxby

CERTIFIED ADDICTIONS COUNSELLOR
CADC, SSW, CDC

Dave has been working in either the addiction and mental health field for the better part of 40 years and part of the RCS team since 1991. His academic experience is extensive including the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation as well as intensive training in Gestalt, Psychodrama and Client Centred therapeutic approaches. He has facilitated various group therapy programs since the early 1970’s. Dave has specialized in working with adolescents and young adults.

Dawna Alexander

REGISTERED SOCIAL WORKER
MSW, RSW

Dawna works primarily with families, couples and individuals who are struggling with loved ones who are suffering from addiction. Her approach with clients is family systems and attachment theory based. In addition, Dawna has been a clinical supervisor for clinicians and students, and sees individuals and couples with various concerns outside of the
addiction field.

Annie Schneider

Annie practises Adlerian theory, emphasising the importance of meaningful relationships and a sense of connectedness and belonging. She also uses mindfulness, trauma informed, motivational interviewing, narrative and acceptance therapy to help identify and remove the obstacles the client is facing. Annie believes that we all have a propensity for personal growth and self actualization under the right conditions, and it is her deepest pleasure to watch that process unfold with
her clients.

Ted Boyle

REGISTERED SOCIAL WORKER/
PSYCHOTHERAPIST MSW, RSW

Ted Boyle is a clinical social worker and registered psychotherapist. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Social Work degree specializing in Mental Health, with a Collaborative Graduate Specialization in Addiction Studies. Ted works primarily with men of all ages on managing substance use disorders, mood disorders, relationships, and healthy expressions of masculinity. Ted uses an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and client-centred approach in his work with individuals, families, and groups. His focus is empowering his clients and their loved ones to achieve freedom from addiction.

Tyler Svadjian

Tyler received an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Masters of Arts: Advanced Practice from the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies. He completed his clinical hours at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation's residential treatment facility in Center City, Minnesota. Tyler specializes in the treatment of co-occurring disorders. He sees clients of all ages and works towards helping clients achieve their goals. Tyler's compassionate, caring, and empathetic demeanour, combined with evidence-based practices and strength-based approaches, leads to meaningful and lasting counselling relationships in treating substance use disorders and mental health disorders.

Kenny Baldwin

Kenny has worked in the field of Addictions for over
7 years. With extensive training in the field of trauma informed modalities, attachment and Adlerian psychotherapy, Kenny has a deep understanding of the family systems model and is passionate about working with families and their loved ones. Healing begins within, between, then among. His sincere wish is to walk alongside his clients on their journey to self.

Jen White

ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR

Jen is key member of the RCS team as administrative director and bookkeeper who takes care of billings, payments and issuing receipts. Jen takes pride in developing relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors as part of the team environment at RCS. Prior to joining RCS, Jen was part of a Children’s Summer Camp as the Administrative Director with extensive experience managing finance, operations and logistics.
